Overview:As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing welding operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and implementing efficient welding processes within our manufacturing facilities. This role requires strong technical expertise in welding techniques, materials, and equipment, as well as the ability to manage and optimize welding procedures to enhance productivity and product quality.Responsibilities:Develop and implement welding procedures to meet project requirements and industry standards.Conduct research and analysis to identify optimal welding techniques, materials, and equipment for specific applications.Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to review welding specifications and provide technical guidance on welding-related issues.Perform weld inspections and quality assessments to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and customer requirements.Provide training and guidance to welding technicians and operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.Troubleshoot welding problems and develop solutions to improve weld quality, productivity, and efficiency.Maintain accurate records of welding procedures, inspections, and test results.Monitor welding equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal functionality.Stay updated on advancements in welding technology, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.Requirements:Proven experience in welding engineering roles, preferably in a manufacturing company of vessel & heat exchanger or industrial setting.In-depth knowledge of various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, SMAW), welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, CSWIP 3.2 or 3.3), and metallurgy.Proficiency in welding simulation software and CAD/CAM tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to welding operations.
