Field Service Technician Diesel Fitter / Mechanic - Bendigo & surrounding areas Yellow Iron Fleet is seeking multiple full-time trade qualified FIELD TECHNICIAN, FITTER / HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC for its Bendigo Workshop. The role will be required to attend other sites in regional Victoria as required. Daily duties will include the maintenance and repair of a range of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi and Liebherr construction and mining equipment. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your duties will include:
- Completion of required preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile fleet equipment and heavy machinery, along with diagnosing faults, defect capture and repairs.
- Accurate reporting of faults found and completion of maintenance records.
- Provide diagnostic fault finding on breakdowns.
- Be trade qualified with appropriate relevant experience.
- Manual HR license (not essential)
- Perform effective fault diagnosis on a variety of equipment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in trade position servicing and maintaining diesel equipment.
- Possess the capacity and willingness to be "hands on".
- Carry out scheduled maintenance in a timely and effective manner.
- Have excellent organizational, communication and reporting skills.
- Demonstrate a sound awareness of OH&S management principles.
