Senior Safety Design Engineer
Job Description:
As a (Process) Safety Engineer in the energy and EPCm sector, you play a crucial role in ensuring safety in the design, sustainable design and technical integrity of our operations. Your primary responsibility is to identify, assess, and manage process safety and other safety-in-design and environmental risks. This includes (Process) Safety Engineering management, permit applications, technical and process safety, environmental engineering, fire safety, human factors, sustainability, noise control (environmental and workplace), regulatory compliance and of course, being the specialist on a project.
Key Responsibilities:
You support, facilitate, and advise on process safety and other safety-in-design matters, especially in investment projects.
You are the point of contact for process safety and safety-in-design, Environmental and Sustainable design.
You are responsible for facilitating and conducting safety studies such as Process Safety and other Safety, Environmental and Health Studies.
You play a significant role in large projects to ensure that process safety, safety-in-design and sustainability receive appropriate attention.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Familiarity with international, European, and Dutch rules and regulations regarding permitting and Safety in Design.
Ability to report in Dutch to authorities.
Specific knowledge and experience on any other specialist areas such as Noise, Permitting (Environmental), and Fire Safety.
