We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Drilling Superintendent, based on a mine site overseas, on an attractive rotation basis. As a Drilling Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing drilling operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity in our mining operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate drilling activities in accordance with mine plans and safety protocols.
  • Lead a team of drilling operators, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor drilling progress and performance, making adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and achieve production targets.
  • Conduct regular inspections of drilling equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Prepare drilling reports, including daily progress reports and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Collaborate with mine engineers and geologists to plan drilling programs and optimize resource recovery.
  • Maintain inventory of drilling materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supply levels.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Drilling Supervisor in a mining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Well control ticket is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
