There will be a focus on a number of the following market sectors: Education & Training Skills; ICT; Creativity; Infrastructure (Mass Construction & Transport); Oil & Gas; Food & Drink, Power & Water, Life Sciences & Finance. Sectors to be covered will be determined according to experience. There are two positions; both are 8 month fixed term contracts which will run from October 2013 to May 2014.Based in Dubai, the successful candidates will be line managed by the UKTI Team Coordinator.Specifically, the role requires support to Trade Advisers and the provision of information to allow UK companies to make an informed decision about whether the UAE is a suitable market for their equipment and/or services and to help facilitate partnerships between the UK and UAE.Duties and Responsibilities:Assisting Trade Advisors to ensure that the UKTI team provides first class support to UK companies looking to trade in or with the UAE.Carrying out market research on behalf of UK companies. This is a chargeable service and there is an overriding need for accuracy and meeting deadlines agreed with customers. The research will involve meeting companies on the ground in Dubai & the Northern Emirates and promoting the customers' business.
