About the role:

We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic with Heavy Maintenance having B2 experience to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As an Aircraft Mechanic - B2, you will be responsible for delivering Aircraft Maintenance services to support the operational requirements as directed by your supervisor and ensure all maintenance and related activities are performed in accordance with the company/customer procedures and supplied aircraft maintenance data.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and electronic flight control systems.

Troubleshoot and diagnose avionics system issues and malfunctions.

Repair or replace faulty avionics components, such as transponders, radios, and radar systems.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Document all maintenance and repair work in accordance with industry regulations.

Keep up-to-date with advancements in avionics technology and attend training as needed.

Ensure that all work is conducted safely and efficiently to minimize aircraft downtime.

Qualifications

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or Trade or vocational aircraft maintenance qualification or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) or equivalent in aircraft engineering with minimum 5 years Aircraft Maintenance experience (including apprenticeship).

Relevant work experience in avionics maintenance, ideally with a focus on the specific type of aircraft or avionics systems Qatar Airways operates.

Strong understanding of avionics systems, electronics, and aircraft maintenance practices is essential.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex avionics system issues is crucial.

Familiarity with avionics tools and equipment is necessary for performing maintenance tasks.

Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures is a must.

Ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance team is important for coordinating efforts and ensuring aircraft are serviced efficiently.

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written English).
