The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and supporting the strategic financial planning process. This role involves managing the finance team, preparing financial statements, and providing financial insights to senior management. The Finance Manager will also ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement effective internal controls.Financial Management:Oversee the financial operations of the properties and hospitality segments, including international subsidiaries.Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements, including tax and financial reporting obligations.Oversee the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, and cash application.Manage the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.Implement credit policies and procedures to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts.Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Maintain and update the chart of accounts as needed.Oversee accounting for property, plant, and equipment (PPE) and investment properties.Ensure proper capitalization, depreciation, and impairment of assets.Maintain accurate records of asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.Conduct regular asset valuations and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.Financial Reporting:Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports.Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Coordinate the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and management reports.Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.Financial Analysis:Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making.Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.Analyze financial performance against key performance indicators.Team Leadership and Development:Manage, mentor, and develop the finance team.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the finance team and with other departments.Internal Controls and Compliance:Develop and implement robust internal control systems to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.Strategic Financial Planning:Support the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.Participate in strategic planning meetings and provide financial insights.Analyze investment opportunities and assess financial risks and returns.Systems and Process Improvement:Implement and maintain financial systems and tools to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.Lead or participate in financial system upgrades and implementations.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Proven experience in financial management, with at least 10 years in a finance manager role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.Preferably audit experience with Big 4 firms.Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strategic thinking and strong business acumen.Effective leadership and team management abilities.High level of integrity and ethical standards.Strong communication and presentation skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). A professional certificate such as CPA/CA/ACCA is preferred.
