The College of Law offers a Master of Laws (LLM) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in collaboration with the University of London.Position Overview:We are seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the college, ensuring the highest standards of academic quality and integrity. This is a pivotal role that requires a blend of academic plus practical experience, and strong leadership capabilities.Qualifications:Academic Credentials: Ph.D. in Law from a reputable university.Academic Rank: Full Professor.Experience: A substantial track record in academia, including teaching, research, and service. Practical experience in the legal field is highly desirable.Publications: A strong record of publications in Scopus-indexed journals.Education Systems: Familiarity with both the British and US credit education systems.Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage academic programs and initiatives.Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that advance the college's mission and goals.Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the College of Law, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and service.Program Development: Oversee the development and implementation of innovative academic programs that meet the evolving needs of students and the legal profession.Faculty Development: Support the recruitment, development, and retention of high-caliber faculty.Resource Management: Effectively manage the college's resources, including budget, facilities, and personnel.Community Engagement: Enhance the college's reputation and visibility through active engagement with the legal community, alumni, and other stakeholders.Accreditation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.Application Instructions:Qualified candidates are invited to submit the following materials:A cover letter outlining their qualifications and vision for the College of Law.Contact information for three professional references.
