We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Health and Safety Engineer for a prominent and leading company in the food and beverage sector, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation.Key Accountabilities Review new machinery and equipment plans to ensure compliance with safety standards.Conduct regular safety inspections of plant facilities, including employee accommodations and machinery.Educate employees on safety policies and procedures through safety and first aid training.Implement and monitor hazard control programs, including the installation of safety equipment.Investigate workplace accidents, prepare reports, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.Conduct environmental tests for harmful gases and ensure compliance with health and safety laws.Supervise contractors, inspect their equipment, and issue work permits when necessary.Perform regular safety audits of production plants and distribution centers.Knowledge, Skills, and ExperienceWe are Looking for:Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.NEBOSH certification is mandatory.Minimum 5 years of experience in safety roles, preferably in beverage production plants.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of ISO certifications, and proficiency in risk assessment and accident investigation.Interaction with government departments for documentation, policies, and safety programs.Requires knowledge of firefighting, fire alarm systems, and risk assessments.
