As the Finance Director for our group, you will play a pivotal role, combining leadership in financial operations with strategic oversight of investment portfolios. You will manage the Finance department's daily activities while steering the group's overall financial strategy to maximize returns and minimize risks.
Financial Management:
Lead and oversee the Finance department, including functions such as accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across all subsidiaries.
Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to best practices.
Monitor the group's cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial health, providing timely analysis and recommendations to senior management.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance financial performance and meet strategic goals.
Strategic Analysis:
Perform in-depth financial analysis, including variance, trend, and scenario analysis, to support decision-making and highlight areas for improvement.
Offer strategic advice to senior management based on financial analysis and market trends.
Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing financial insights to drive growth and optimize resource allocation.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee the group's diversified investment portfolio, including real estate, bonds/sukuk, Sharia-compliant instruments, and both public and private equity.
Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation assessments to evaluate investment opportunities, ensuring sound decision-making around asset allocation and risk management.
Closely monitor portfolio performance, identifying trends and risks, and making strategic adjustments to optimize returns.
Build and maintain relationships with external investment managers, brokers, and stakeholders to enhance portfolio management.
Present comprehensive financial analyses and strategic recommendations to the management team, ensuring informed decision-making and alignment with organizational objectives.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Provide guidance and support to team members, empowering them to excel in their roles and achieve professional growth.
Encourage a positive, transparent work environment rooted in integrity and accountability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in financial management, ideally within a multi-entity organization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience effectively managing and developing teams.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive growth and contribute to broader organizational initiatives.
Solid understanding of investment principles and portfolio management.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) and financial modeling software.
