Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Depot and Maintenance Facilities Expert to join our team, based in Doha, Qatar. This role is to work on a major local rail project encompassing freight, conventional and high-speed systems, manage all technical and design activities related to the Depot Equipment and Maintenance Facility elements of the project.

The Depot Equipment and Maintenance Facilities Expert shall have experience in Engineering, Design, Procurement/ Manufacturing, Installation, T&C and management of Defect Notification Period. Willingness to travel and relocate to client, or construction site locations is required. Our staff are expected to be versatile and enthusiastic and able to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environment and have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.

We envisage success in this role to include:

Responsible for the network wide facilities management within the service delivery organisation.

Provide overall management and direction for the Depot Equipment and Maintenance Facilities on the project.

Assist and produce technical documents related to Depot Equipment and Maintenance Facilities (design, tender documents, technical memo, Tender Evaluation, etc).

Perform site inspections during the different stages of the installations to ensure the work on site is compliant.

Provide assistance and solutions to the contractor's technical queries during all the stages of the design, installation and commissioning of the works.

Conduct design review activities and to ensure all Client requirements are met.

Report any major issues or expected conflicts.

Material, technical details and sample approval for the internal stakeholders.

Provide leadership in the resolution of all design and technical issues relating to the railway.

Prepare presentations for Senior and Executive Management on all technical related matters.

Provide regular report updates on progress of resolution of all outstanding issues.

Coordinate with multiple discipline leads for technical matters.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include minimum 15 years of related rail project experience including involvement in design and installation through to testing and commissioning of major conventional / high speed railway projects, partnered with Bachelor's degree in engineering (or equivalent) is required.

- Proven ability to perform in a managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills (including strong presentation skills), and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

- Ability to communicate and report to senior management and effectively liaise with other stakeholders including, contractors, suppliers, engineers and regulatory authorities, in the introduction of new technologies.

- Ability to multitask and effectively problem-solve under high pressure.

- GCC experience.

- Certified in Maximo or similar system.

- Holds Health & Safety certification.
