Job overview IT Back Office Team Leader Department: IT Band 6 £37,338 - £44,962 per annum Hours: 37.5 per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working The IT Department is a dynamic, ever-developing, forward-thinking group of people that make up a team that strives to keep the Trust's systems up to date and responsive to cutting edge technologies, whilst ensuring staff at the Trust are supported to continue to deliver at the highest level. We currently have an opening for an IT Back Office Team Leader to be a part of the Trust's Back Office Team. You will be an integral part of a team delivering a business as usual service including technical, configuration and testing support across the full range of the Trust Electronic Patient Record (eCARE - Oracle Health Cerner Millennium) to over 6000 staff including in external organizations. Support is currently provided via phone, email, and remote tools to assist in the resolution of issues, this may require the identification and resolution of complex problems. There may be occasions when visits to the hospital site are required. Interview date: 22nd November 2024 Main duties of the job To be successful in this role you will need to have knowledge of the Oracle Health suite of applications used in eCare. In depth, experience of using Millennium configuration tools and/or recent and relevant experience of maintaining, configuring, and developing a major clinical support system, PAS or EPR would be an advantage. You will need to be a leader with experience in mentoring and developing your own team, providing technical expertise to end users, queue management and leading on projects. You need to be a problem solver and manage conflicting demands on the service. You will be flexible in approach, tenacious, a good team player and have an eye for detail. Responsible for the provision of highly specialist IT Back Office technical services to the Trust. Areas of responsibility include, but not limited to, support of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (eCARE) System. Detailed job description and main responsibilities Main duties and responsibilities The post holder will highly provide specialist Back Office support, configuration and system management services to all Trust staff under the guidance and direction of the I.T. Back Office Manager. In this capacity the post holder will be responsible for all the activities associated with the maintenance and development of the eCARE System in accordance with established policies and procedures. This will include but not be limited to the following activities. Maintain, support, and develop the eCARE System. This system is mission critical to the business. Person specification Qualifications and knowledge Essential criteria IT related degree (or equivalent qualification / relevant experience) Evidence of continuous personal development Desirable criteria IT Service Management qualification e.g. ITIL Foundation Project Management qualification e.g. Prince 2 Foundation Experience Essential criteria Relevant experience in a team lead role Experience in being a member of a project Desirable criteria Sound understanding of current IT standards, capabilities and developments in desktop, network, server, storage and applications technology.
