Head of Industrial Operations (Position is Based in Qatar)The Head of Industrial Operations will lead and oversee all aspects of production and operational activities related to Ready-mix concrete, Cement blocks, Concrete Pipes and electric cables manufacturing industry. This senior management role requires a strategic leader with extensive industry experience to drive operational excellence, ensure quality, enhance productivity, and support the growth and profitability of the company.The role requires regular reporting to the CEO, providing insights and updates on operational performance and strategic initiatives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement the strategic vision for the industrial sector including Ready-mix concrete, Cement blocks, Concrete Pipes and electric cables manufacturing.Set short-term and long-term goals for operational efficiency, quality, and safety.Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.Operational Leadership:Oversee daily operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for the whole sector.Monitor and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability.Supply Chain Management:Oversee the supply chain management to ensure efficient procurement, production, and distribution processes for the whole sector.Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline operations and reduce costs.Quality Control:Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.Implement and monitor quality control systems to minimize defects and enhance customer satisfaction.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations managers, engineers, and support staff.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Identify training and development needs and provide appropriate support.Budget and Financial Management:Manage the operational budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.Work closely with the finance team to track operational costs and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.Quality, Health, Safety and Environment:Responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) management procedures and controls within their defined area of responsibility.Promote a culture of safety within the organization, ensuring that all operational activities are conducted safely and responsibly.Innovation and Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for innovation in production technologies and processes.Lead initiatives to enhance product offerings, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with other executive team members to align operations with the company's strategic objectives.Engage with key external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners, to support the company's operational goals.KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA) preferred.Minimum of 15 years of experience in related industries in an operational leadership role, with a focus on manufacturing and industrial operations.Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale industrial operations and profitability.Strong understanding of industry standards, production processes, and quality control.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in industry-specific software and systems.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in financial risk management and mitigation strategies.Knowledge of industry-specific financial metrics and key performance indicators.Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines related to investments.Comprehensive knowledge of financial software and systems.Prior experience in leading strategic initiatives and investment decision-making.Experience in managing investment portfolios in a complex, multi-faceted organization.Strong track record in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.Experience in driving business growth and identifying strategic opportunities.Additional Information:Travel required to different operational sites.Flexibility in work hours may be needed to meet operational demands.
