Job SummaryCommercial Bank Innovation Services is looking to hire an Application Support Engineer-Wealth Management Systems.Application management for Information Technology systems, providing L1 and L2 support for applications mainly investment systems such as WMS (Wealth Management System) and PMS (Portfolio Management System). The candidate will work collaboratively with the L3 development team post go-live for upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing support.Key AccountabilitiesProviding 1st and 2nd support to Banking Applications such as Brokerage systems, WMS/PMS/AMS systems in terms of upgrades, projects, and BAU.Work with the Run the Bank team to build and maintain the technical aspects of Investment applications (administration, maintenance) including but not restricted to analysis, design, and estimation of business requirements.Develop in-depth knowledge of wealth & investment systems through research and testing in order to act as a Subject Matter Expert with such applications.Perform initial design reviews and recommend improvements and provide recommendations for continuous improvements.Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.Manage code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.Ensure continuous knowledge development and participate effectively in knowledge transfer programs.Strong capability to help end users and business in reporting to regulatory bodies by providing the necessary reports.Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.Extend support for new implementations and projects that would include managing projects from the Application Support side.SkillsQualification And ExperienceRequired Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or similar.Required Experience:Good experience in Microservices (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud). Strong experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache Camel, Apache CXF, Jasper Reports, EHCache, Hibernate.Experience with API Gateway is preferred. Good experience in Database Programming using PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL, and Oracle.Good experience in Web Services (REST & SOAP). Experience in using Apache Log4j frameworks.Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Strong collaboration and investigative skills and the ability to cross-reference information for accuracy.Banking knowledge and prior experience with Wealth Management software e.g. Comarch, Additive, Temenos, etc. preferred.Languages: English and Arabic.CompetenciesAdaptability/FlexibilityCreativity/InnovationDecision Making/JudgmentDependabilityInitiativeIntegrity/EthicsProblem Solving/AnalysisSkillsAbility to interact with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to work under pressureAccuracy and attention to detailEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
