Job Description: General Manager - QatarLocation: QatarMy client is a global leader in certification, testing, and engineering consultancy. They help businesses improve safety, efficiency, and sustainability by offering services like certification, product testing, and technical advisory, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality across various industries including the Maritime/Engineering fields.They are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the launch and growth of their Engineering/Consulting region in Qatar. This pivotal role will focus on establishing and developing their presence in the region, driving business growth, and ensuring operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Lead the establishment and development of the Qatar branch of the Engineering/Consulting division.Manage all office operations, business development, and client engagement in the region.Build a strong client network by leveraging industry contacts and local market knowledge.Drive business growth from the ground up, developing strategies for long-term success.Oversee project delivery, ensuring quality and compliance with global standards.Act as a hands-on leader, especially during the initial phase of the office setup, while gradually expanding the team.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Commercial, or Finance.Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the Engineering/Consulting industry.Strong understanding of the complexities of the business, including operational, financial, and technical aspects.Demonstrated success in setting up or managing business operations.Experience in the Middle East, particularly Qatar, with established industry contacts.Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and business development skills.This role offers a unique opportunity to shape my client's presence in Qatar and be at the forefront of their expansion in the region.*Candidates MUST be willing to relocate to Qatar to be considered*
