Clinical Nurse Facilitator - Pediatrics Emergency DepartmentJob Location: QatarJob Identification: 2276Job Category: NursingJob Schedule: Full timeJob DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Nurse Facilitator (CNF) is a key member of the clinical nursing team, implementing clinical supervision principles, providing clinical leadership, peer supervision, clinical teaching, mentoring, coaching, and reflective practice. The CNF acts as the link between practice development, evidence-based practice, and education to ensure high-quality care and the best patient outcomes. The CNF works clinically at the bedside, assessing clinical standards of care, assessing staff knowledge and skills, conducting clinical audits, assisting staff in developing personal development plans, and establishing a clinical program to support staff development.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS - SELECTION CRITERIAEducation:ESSENTIAL:Bachelor's Degree in NursingDiploma in Nursing (3 years after post high school)Registered NursePREFERRED:Postgraduate specialty qualification/certificationExperience:ESSENTIAL:5+ years of clinical nursing experience including 2 years of supervisory/education experience in a specialty area with no break in practicePREFERRED:Certification and Licensure:ESSENTIAL:Current Nursing License from country of originPREFERRED:Postgraduate specialty certificationJob Specific Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate teams to meet care objectivesDemonstrated ability to delegate, supervise, and evaluate the performance of nursing interventionsDemonstrated ability to design, coordinate, and evaluate plans of careDemonstrated ability to apply and integrate knowledge and skills into practiceDemonstrated ability to use risk analysis tools to anticipate safety risksDemonstrated ability to access, critique, and analyze information sourcesDemonstrated ability to synthesize data, information, and knowledge on patient outcomes and modify interventions to improve health care outcomesDemonstrated ability to teach, assess, and develop educational materials for staff and patientsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in organizing data and generating thorough, accurate, timely reportsDemonstrated experience with Clinical Information Systems (CIS)Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteFluency in written and spoken EnglishKey Role Accountabilities:Provides peer supervision and assists staff in the development of professional development plansProvides a nurturing environment for staff facilitating reflective practice to improve performanceImplements strategies that improve the quality of care and services provided within each clinical unitCommunicates regularly with the allocated Clinical Nurse Leader, colleagues, Clinical Nurse Manager, and DirectorTreats patients and their families with respect and dignityEnsures an interprofessional approach to facilitate timely discharge or transfer to the next level of care or homePromotes a safe environment and ensures delivery of safe patient careParticipates in the integration and evaluation of research into practiceCommunicates effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, addressing complaints immediatelyEnsures effective orientation, precepting, and support of new staff and studentsMaintains effective administrative processes in the unit/clinic/serviceReports equipment failures, safety and security issues, and/or reduction of supply inventoryDevelops and sustains own knowledge, clinical skills, and professional awarenessIn view of the evolving needs and opportunities within Sidra, this position may be required to perform other duties as assigned.About UsSidra Medicine represents the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation.
