You have completed a Bachelor's degree in Biological, Physical or Applied Science. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. Possesses and applies an advanced knowledge in a particular field of specialization and has completed projects of major complexity. You have worked in a similar role for at least 8 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You may have also acquired the following skills:
Able to lead the development of manufacturing methods for radioisotopes produced via target irradiation using a particle accelerator.
Strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills/experience in radioisotope production, target chemistry, separation chemistry, characterization and synthesis for radiolabeled compounds/radiopharmaceuticals.
Strong knowledge of Analytical Methods and software.
Able to effectively communicate/collaborate with other subject matter experts in the nuclear power generation and medical isotope fields.

Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Principal Radiochemist/Scientist in Pickering or Kincardine, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Chemistry & Specialty Technology Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include tapping into their expertise to help utilize our flexible accelerator technology to further develop and improve the medical isotope technology and process. Must be knowledgeable of medical isotope production topic, able to collaborate with experts on target design, radiochemical separations, and implementation of manufacturing methods in hot cells. This position requires up to 25% travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.
