Boston Energy provides technical support in the construction, service & maintenance as well as major corrective phases within the on and offshore Wind sector. This role is situated in the Commercial function and collaborates closely with the technical, operations and finance departments.This role is an important element of the BE journey as we seek to strengthen our ability to quickly and diligently review and successfully close customer facing agreements which have acceptable commercial, technical and legal risk profiles.Responsibilities include:Lead on behalf of BE's Commercial group, the initial review and redlining, in collaboration with other functions, of the contractual, technical and commercial risk in each case.Support the business by leading customer facing discussions to negotiate "red lines" and close to satisfaction of BE.Digest and fully understand customer requirements and provide clear and concise input to the costing team. Ultimately have 2 of the 4 eye requirement on the pricing outputs.Where appropriate, initiate and manage external legal/commercial support experts as needed.Lead a multi-functional contract and internal approval process.Maintain the contract database, including identifying in good time contracts due for renegotiation and leading the workstream to address this.Provide management oversight on progress with Master Service Agreements and contract reviews.Determine and manage risks for individual contracts and control the company risk register.Collate Operational inputs for inclusion into the pricing tool and bid proposal.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Contract Management, Law, Finance, or a related discipline - desired.Professional Certification in a relevant study - desired.Key Experiential Characteristics:3 years' experience as a Contracts Manager or other similarly relevant role.Strong understanding of commercial and legal contract terminology.3 years contract negotiation experience in Wind or closely related field (mech//elec rotating equipment).Ability to craft/draft contractual agreements and clauses.P & L understanding and how elements of the P & L should be reflected in our costing modelling.Technical and Commercial awareness, vocabulary, meaning, importance, relevance etc.Awareness of CDM regulations and implications.Other Skills:Full proficiency on Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to pay particular attention to details.Methodical approach and data savvy.Self-motivated and self-managed (time, quality of work, timeliness of work).Familiarity with P & L's.Intercultural awareness, team-oriented person.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with both customers and all levels of staff.Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
