Document Preparation: Assist our legal team in drafting, reviewing, and formatting legal documents including contracts, agreements, and correspondence.Case Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date legal files, both electronically and in hard copy. Ensure easy accessibility to relevant documents and information.Calendar Management: Manage the schedules of our legal team members, including scheduling meetings, court appearances, and travel arrangements.Client Interaction: Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing assistance in scheduling appointments, gathering necessary documentation, and providing updates on case progress.Court Filings: Prepare and file legal documents with various courts and governmental agencies, adhering to deadlines and procedural requirements.Legal Research: Conduct legal research using online databases and other resources to support attorneys in case preparation and strategy development.Billing and Timekeeping: Assist in billing processes by accurately recording billable hours, preparing invoices, and maintaining billing records.Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing office supplies.Requirements:Experience: Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Additional certification in legal studies or office administration is advantageous.Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation.Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload effectively.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and colleagues.Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in document preparation and data management.Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
