Role : Windows System AdminExperience: 4-10 yrsWork Location: Gachibowli (Client location)CompetenciesAssessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.Re-installation in the event of system crash/failuresPeriodic health check of the systems, troubleshooting problems, analyzing, and implementing rectification measures.Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of the infrastructureManagement of the usernames, roles, and passwords of all the relevant subsystems, including, but not limited to servers, applications, devices, etc.Change Management awareness and process oriented.Implementing security on the Internet and Intranet through VA closure.Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recoveryInstall and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes.Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.Install and configure software and hardware.Manage network servers and technology tools, Set up accounts and workstations.Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements Troubleshoot issues and outages, Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.Upgrade/ patching of systems with new releases and models time to time.Maintain cloud infrastructure, application, and database backup.Configure and Maintain Server scaling and High Availability & Disaster RecoveryDiscussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.Troubleshooting system and server errors.Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.Managing user access.Monitoring system performance.Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.Extensive knowledge on fundamentals of VMware/Hyper-V and related technologiesDetailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.Ability to create scripts in PowerShell.Should have worked on Vulnerability closure.Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.Excellent problem-solving skills.Good analytical and communication skills.Proficiency in handling large setups with a good understanding of about Windows OSUnderstanding of DR and BCPShould have a good understanding of Storage and SAN technologies.Should be able to work in shifts and travel across various location in IndiaGood communication skills to connect with end users / clients documentation.
