IT Support Engineer Prevos Solutions is a dynamic and growing Managed IT Service provider based in Galway. We are currently seeking an IT Support Engineer that wants to forge an IT career with no upper limit. JOB DESCRIPTION Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, the IT Support Engineer will resolve a variety of complex IT challenges, primarily by responding to support requests including Office 365 administration; password resets, security administration, and hardware/printer troubleshooting and repair. In addition to this, duties include server setup/maintenance; network maintenance; Disaster Recovery implementation and management; and cloud server management including Microsoft Azure. Report directly to Service Delivery Manager Responding to and resolving service requests via support desk requests in a timely manner, and triage such requests based on level of urgency Setting up and maintaining user accounts in Active Directory, Office 365, and Antivirus/encryption environments Adhering to and maintaining established internal procedures Configuring new server builds, migrating data, setting up Active Directory Server and Active Directory Maintenance Implementing Disaster Recovery solutions: file/folder and Image backup. Also testing same and reacting rapidly to situations where backup data needs to be restored for customer Guiding more junior members of the service delivery team Manage the process of pushing out updates to critical client network infrastructure Role requires presence in Galway office, however some remote work is possible depending on circumstances Salary starts at €40,000, depending on experience REQUIREMENTS Full drivers licence No points, manual car Ability to respond to high pressure situations with ease Excellent communication and customer service skills Fluency in one or more of the following networking technologies: Active Directory/Domain Control, TCP/IP, CCNA, Firewalls Fundamentals of Microsoft 365 Administrator Minimum 5 years experience in an IT support role. Degree in an IT related subject Microsoft Certification Cisco Certification Familiarity with cybersecurity software administration and related technologies.
