The solution allows for real-time scheduling, on-call management and secure messaging on any device - all designed to help seamlessly improve workflow efficiencies, reduce medical errors, and positively impact patient outcomes.Founded in 2016, Hypercare has seen rapid growth and is currently being used by over 100 North American healthcare organizations including some of the largest healthcare systems in Canada.Job OverviewHypercare is seeking a self-motivated, energetic people-person to join our growing team as a Lead Frontend Web Developer in the exciting and rewarding world of healthcare technology. This will be a multi-faceted role in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate should be an ambitious individual looking for a dynamic experience and be willing to work alongside frontend and backend engineers, designers, and healthcare professionals. This opportunity will allow you to build components on top of our enterprise grade application, have ownership over Hypercare's web app development, and aid in implementing and validating security controls.Key activities and responsibilities include the following:Lead and help build the growing Web team at Hypercare.Be strategic and tactical - have ownership over the Web Client and Web Admin platform to ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness, while managing both immediate needs of the platform and ensuring its sustainable growth as we continue to build our product.Add new features and enhance existing code to a production grade web application.Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.Identify and correct bottlenecks and bug fixes.Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code.Work with backend engineers on integration with APIs under active development.Work with product manager to meet specifications.Setup and iterate on CI/CD pipeline.Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms.Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.What does the Lead Frontend Web Engineer need in order to be successful in this role? Here are a few of the qualities that our team at Hypercare looks for:Excited to work at a start-up!Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience building product.Applies good code practices to ensure scalability, reusability and maintainability.Expertise across the web eco-system with strong fundamental knowledge of the DOM, Web APIs, Javascript, HTML and CSS.Good understanding of modern frontend design patterns.Experience with common front-end development tools such as Vite, Webpack, NPM, etc.Familiarity with Restful APIs.Proficient understanding of Git and branching strategies.Self-starter who can keep up-to-date with the latest updates and best practices in the frontend web development ecosystem.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.A team player with the ability to work in a supportive team environment as well as independently.Nice to haves:Understanding of responsive design.Knowledge of any MVVM, MVC, and MVP design patterns.Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.Have published one or more web applications.Experience with GraphQL or working knowledge of Apollo GraphQL.Experience with cross-browser compatibility.Work experience in health-tech industry.People leadership experience.Significance of the RoleThe Lead Frontend Web Developer will play a critical role in the growth of Hypercare and have a direct impact on the company's product.
