Job Summary
As a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the hands-on diagnosis, repair, and overhaul of various types of rotating equipment, contributing significantly to our cutting-edge energy company's operations.Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment including dismantling, diagnosing, assembling, testing, and issuing related technical reports.
- Offer technical consultation to Shops, Operating Repair Units, and Contractor Shops.
- Support field installation, maintenance, and repair of rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing equipment while identifying cost reductions and process improvements.
- Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
- Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs to identify root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
- Introduce and apply the latest technology in repair methodology.
- Develop and revise the department's technical procedures and standards.
- Mentor and share knowledge with junior engineers, quality inspectors, and technicians.
- Provide technical input for purchasing specifications and evaluate technical proposals.
- Collaborate with department engineers, Consulting Services Department (CSD), other company departments, and manufacturers.
- Coordinate with In-House Repair Units, Quality Assurance units, In-Kingdom Contractors, vendors, and manufacturers for shop repair work scopes.
- Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.
Requirements:
This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in the mechanical field, particularly with rotating equipment.
- Proven experience in mechanical design, troubleshooting, and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment such as gas compressors, steam turbines, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Experience in an original equipment manufacturing facility or a certified repairing facility for steam turbines, gas compressors, and diesel engines.
- Excellent English reading and writing skills.
