We are looking for a Sr. Joinery Estimator to join us at FAST Manufactures located in Umm Al Quwain. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing plans, bills of quantities, and other project documentation to estimate costs, as well as researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. The Estimator will handle all estimation works in joinery and fit-out projects. Applicants must have foundational knowledge in wood and quantity surveying.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the estimation process.
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Compute costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Present prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain cost database by entering and backing up data.
- Understand drawings and joinery technical issues.
- Visit sites to gather necessary information.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position (Joinery only will be accepted).
- Experience in computerized take-off.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to maintain a flexible and positive attitude towards work assignments.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment to maximize productivity.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word are essential.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a professional demeanor.
- Must exhibit exceptional attention to detail and a professional commitment to completing all tasks assigned.
