Kier Construction is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our accomplished team in Liverpool. Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Kier Construction, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising project costs from inception to completion, ensuring value for money while adhering to the highest standards of quality and compliance. Specifically, you will oversee two concurrent community projects in Cheshire and Crewe. Daily Responsibilities:
  • Lead cost planning and commercial management throughout the entire life cycle of projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
  • Oversee and manage procurement processes, including tender preparation and evaluation.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk, value management, and cost control exercises.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor project finances, manage variations, and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
 

What We Are Looking For:

  This role is perfect for you if:
  • You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • You have extensive experience as a quantity surveyor, ideally within a main contracting environment.
  • You possess strong knowledge of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations.
  • You have a proven track record in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • You are proficient in using industry-specific software and tools.
  • You have excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • You have leadership experience and can mentor junior team members.
