Location Perth, Western Australia, Australia Job Type Contract Date Added May 9, 2024 Airswift is actively looking for aSenior Mechanical Engineerto work on an initial12-month contractinPerth, WAwith a leading engineering company within themining industry.Working on a majorsustaining capital projectfor an iron ore client, you will be responsible in providing essential support fornon-process infrastructure(water connections - pipeline, dewatering stations - pumping, and support on gas crossover etc.).Project InsightsMajor sustaining capital projects for an existing mine site. Developing two (2) additional ore bodies.Main design endeavors will be bulk earthworks, water transport & management, low voltage powerlines and comms.New non-process-infrastructure haul road networks (civil earthworks), gas pipeline crossing, LV access roads, surface water management (waterway crossing), connection/extension to existing raw water distribution, satellite NPI facilities, communications infrastructure.First 6 months will be basic design. Then transition to detailed design. A good 18 months minimum of work in the schedule.Client will utilise existing plant, stockyards, and TLO.Candidate RequirementsMechanical Engineering Degree - recognised by Engineers Australia.8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering experience.Not essential but beneficial to have experience with WaterGEMS.Mining non-process infrastructure background preferred.Will consider onshore oil and gas projects experience.Why You Should ApplyExposure to working alongside a tier one mining company.Project expected to be ongoing for a minimum of 18-months.Knowledge base established.
