At EXL, we're committed to exploring new frontiers in technology.Job Description: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Computer Vision Scientist to lead research and development efforts in computer vision at EXL. As a Computer Vision Scientist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy advanced computer vision algorithms and systems. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that require expertise in image processing, machine learning, and deep learning. Responsibilities: Conduct research to advance the state-of-the-art in computer vision algorithms and techniques. Design and develop computer vision algorithms and models for tasks such as object detection, recognition, tracking, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction. Implement and optimize algorithms for real-time performance on various platforms, including desktop, mobile, and embedded systems. Collect, preprocess, and annotate large-scale datasets for training and evaluation of computer vision models. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists on advanced analytics techniques, coding best practices, and model interpretation. Design rigorous testing frameworks to evaluate model performance, validate results, and iterate on models to improve accuracy and reliability. Qualifications: 5+ Years of prior analytics and data science experience in driving projects involving AI and Advanced Analytics. 3+ years of Hands-on experience in developing computer vision algorithms and systems using frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc. Hands-on experience in working with open-source computer vision models like yolo-v8, tesseract, etc. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB. Experience with deep learning techniques for computer vision tasks, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and generative adversarial networks (GANs). Familiarity with image processing techniques, feature extraction, and image analysis algorithms. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to iterate and experiment to optimize AI model behavior. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients/stakeholders. Education Background: PhD/master's/bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with a focus on computer vision or machine learning. Tier I/II candidates preferred. Folks with shorter notice period to be preferred. PRB
