Consulting Member of Technical Staff (IC5)Looking for senior technical leaders/architects who want to be the needle movers for the fastest growing cloud infra service in the world. As part of this team, you would be at the helm of technically leading and architecting infinitely scaling and durable solutions for cloud technologies. You would be championing the effort to introduce efficiencies into storage operations and making the service fully available, supremely resilient, and highly performant offering to our customers.Job descriptionArchitect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for Compute, Storage, databases, applications, tools, networks, etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging, or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Work with architects to build new highly scalable distributed systems and metadata database solutions. Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgement. Fully competent to work with subject matter experts of sub-components. Lead designs, and new architecture for cloud infra projects and supervise SMEs/Junior-leads in their projects. Hand-in-glove with management and leadership in providing a technical perspective in making business decisions. Capable of liaising with key customers and driving operational excellence within the organization.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing, and debugging of infra applications or systems.Drives operational readiness and excellence of their product /service. Drives planning. Identifies and mitigates risks in their project and the architecture of their products.Implements code, and reviews code written by your peersWrite test automation • Share responsibility with other team members to deploy new code to production.Work with the team to operate services that host massive amounts of dataWorks with management and leadership in making business decisionsMentors SMEs and Junior leads in the group to build a technically strong organizationTrusted to serve as Tier 2 or specialized escalation point for operations events.Leads deep dives into events during calls and in support of CAPA.Serves as the primary point of contact for resolving complex operations issues.Develops new metrics and dashboards to improve situational awareness.Works independently with minimum directionsRequired Skillset: -Microservices with Java/C/C++, Linux platform experience is neededMultithreading and other high-performance techniquesPython, and Go are good to have Qualification:BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 14+ years of software engineering or related experience.
