The incumbent would also need to ensure adequate welfare and benefits have been provided to employees.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESEnsuring Labour laws compliances under the Contract Labour Act, Minimum Wages Act and various other labour laws.Supports contract negotiations with trade unions.Assist in conducting collective bargaining agreements and grievances.Filing of returns and amendment in RC on Central Government labour department Shram Suvidha portal.Monitor and guide contractors on Labour laws compliances and Minimum wage application.ER Checklist control to ensure contractors compliance on all third party labour standards.Handle Statutory AuditsConciliation matters, Labour court, Industrial court, Civil court related mattersDeveloping cohesive relations with employees and outside agenciesEnsure there is continuous dialog and communication between management and employees.In order to ensure Statutory compliance, maintain liaison with government agenciesDiscipline Management at the shop floorHandling day to day employee grievancesOrganizing various forums and platforms of communications with the help of key managers.Recommends solutions and advises management on significant employee relations matters.Providing counselling and guidance to the staff members as and when required.Advising and providing guidance to key managers in disciplinary actions and formalities.Reporting appropriate MIS of his/her own function / activities to AGM IR and top management whenever required.Organizing sports activities, cultural activities, celebration of festival, pooja, etc.Rewards and Recognition program facilitationMediclaim Insurance claims and other employees related support.Training and development programs for employees Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.WORK/BUSINESS CONTACTS AND AUTHORITY Internal:Management Team, Union Leaders, All terminal employees.External:Legal Consultants, Statutory authorities, Local agencies, Politicians ,etc.CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEEducation: Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a post graduate degree / diploma in human resources, business administration, behavioral science, or management (Preferably qualified from Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies)Experience: 5 to 8 years of general human resources or related work, with an emphasis in organizational design and planning, employment, labor law, employee relations, compensation, and benefitsRequires a complete and thorough understanding of international management standards and principles.Requires basic knowledge to review and interpret survey and other data.Must be able to use a desktop or laptop computer with ease.Must be able to use presentation materials effectively.Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment.
