Qualification, Experience and Knowledge.B.E Graduate/Equivalent in ECE, CSE with 12+ years of experience.Experience in Testing and debugging Network Protocols:Layer-2: MLAG/VPC, Spanning Tree, VLAN, IGMP.Layer-3: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, PIM (v4 and v6), DHCP.MPLS/MPLS VPN, VPLS, VPWS, EVPN, VXLAN, Segment-Routing.Telemetry Protocols: SFLOW, gNMI.Network Operating Systems: IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NXOS, JUNOS, OcNOS, FRR, SR LINUX.NETCONF and Yang knowledge would be an added advantage.Experience in Linux Tool Chain:Bash, sed, awk, grep, iperfPackage Management Tools (APT, YUM, DNF).Experience in Traffic Generator tools:IXIA, Spirent Test Center, TREXUsing HLTAPIs of IXIA, Spirent.Packet Capture tools such as Wireshark, Tcpdump, Scapy.Experience in Automation Frameworks such as:ROBOT, Ansible, PyATS/GenieExperience in Programming Languages. Code Editors and Collaborative toolsPython (Intermediate to Advanced), TCL/Expect, Regular Expressions.Commonly used Network Libraries in Python.VS Code, VIM, Pycharm.Google Sheets/Docs/SlidesDefect Reporting Tools: JIRA or Equivalent.Knowledge of Virtualization and Network Emulation tools:Docker, Libvirt, LXC/LXD, Oracle Virtual Box, VMWARE Workstation.GNS3, EVE-NG, Packet Tracer.Knowledge of CI/CD and Version Control Systems:Jenkins, Git/Gitub.Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, DEVNET, JNCIE will be an added advantage.Job Description and Responsibilities.Automation:Feature and Solution Script development for OcNOS.Regression Runs, Reporting Functional issues and fixing Script/Library related issues.Collaborating with the team in the Script Review Process and providing corrective feedback.Interacting with the development teams for making OcNOS Automatable.Interaction and Collaboration:Collaborating with the development team and participating in Function Spec reviews of New features/Enhancements.Interacting with the development team to reproduce the defects, validating the resolved defects and helping the documentation team to release note the open defects.Interacting with Systems Engineering teams to gather inputs on the proposed solutions and recommend improvements, also circling back the missing areas of testing back to the test plan which can be Automated.Interacting with the TAC Teams to develop Automation of the Field defects and plug the test gaps.Mentor and Train junior team members in both Automation and functional areas.
