System Administrator

IT System AdministratorWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Administrator to join the India team of most cutting-edge and well-funded storage start-up in Silicon Valley. The ideal candidate will be maintaining our network infrastructure and managing EDA server rack infrastructure. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise and the ability to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.Location: Bangalore, KA. IndiaQualification and Skillset Requirements5 or more years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar roleVery strong interpersonal skills, team collaboration and communications skills requiredExpert knowledge of OS user, group creation, administration, HMC administrationSolid foundation with NFS client/server administration, SUDO configuration, LDAP client administrationIn depth familiarity with shell scripting (Bourne and Bourne relatives), automation programming (i.e., sed, awk, Perl, Python)Knowledge of FlexLM license files and licensing administration softwareExperience with Synopsys, Mentor, Xilinx, Cadence, Perforce software installationWorking knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalentRoles And ResponsibilitiesConfigure, manage, and fix Fortinet Firewalls and routers and switches from different vendorsTroubleshoot complex network problems affecting LAN, WAN, Internet connections, and issues of end user servicesDesign for disaster recovery operations and data backupsPerforming operating system maintenance and hardening, including OS installation, configuration, patching, and security configurationsPerform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoringMonitor datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as neededMaintain internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, intranet and so onInstall new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software and hardware related problems, update license files and maintain license software server PRB
