It's our employee promise. Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Read on to see how you can shape the future, win as a team, and grow with us.About the roleWe're looking for a Senior Solution Data Architect to join our growing team!What you'll do here:Produce solution architecture and data architecture deliverables that are aligned with our corporate vision, objectives, security standards and data governance standards.Create, update, and maintain solution and data architecture models, roadmaps and strategies.Understand, advocate, and promote architecture vision and value proposition within the IT and business community.Analyze the current solution portfolio to detect deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.Lead and facilitate research and assessment of new solution and integration approaches and technologies for potential use within the organization.Lead and facilitate the creation and evolution of solution and data architecture principles, standards and patterns to support decision-making.Consult and align with Infrastructure, Security and Data Governance teams.Act as an architectural advisor in areas of data management.Iteratively refine, document, manage and disseminate conceptual and logical data models.Work with technical teams to determine the best way to represent data - and the relationship between data - to support business process.Maintain metadata describing data models including structure and semantics.Recommend and help to establish data related standards, procedures, models, and solutions that will be used to collect, organize, store, and retrieve information for the organization.Create models and maintain a repository that accurately reflects the location, creation, modification, deletion, access, protection, and flow of data throughout the organization.Lead risk and cost analysis including build vs. buy recommendations.What you bring to the table:University Degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering/Computer Science or any equivalent combination of education and experience.10+ years in information technologyDemonstrated knowledge & architecture experience in API design and integration techniques.Demonstrated knowledge & experience with data modelling.Demonstrated knowledge & experience with data management.An excellent team player who demonstrates leadership.Understands or willing to learn about the insurance industry.Open and transparent and able to communicate with the business, telecom, infrastructure, security, audit and software engineering teams.Driven by challenges and results.Organized, proactive and a catalyst for change.Able to successfully manage stakeholders and competing priorities.Strong technical background (platforms, languages, protocols, frameworks, open source, etc.).Knowledge on security best practices and impacts.Comfortable working in a constantly evolving technological environment.Comfortable speaking with all levels of the organization and different audiencesFor candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.#LI-HybridWhat we offerWorking here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
