Senior Interior Designer - Team Leader

SSH is a leading regional architecture and engineering design consultancy based in Kuwait with offices throughout the GCCC/MENA region. To support continued growth within the company we are currently recruiting for a talented, bright, enthusiastic, engaging Senior Designer with good client facing and team leading experience. Due to the type of client/projects we require an experienced Designer with a background in high end, cultural, theatre, museums and hospitality projects in the Middle east. Responsibilities : Enthusiastic, engaging Designer with good client facing and presentation skills. Understands and clarifies client's and Statutory Authority requirements. Determines, obtains, collates, and analyses all necessary design input data. Develops exceptional concept designs which reflects innovative, creative thinking while at the same time, meeting the client's brief and budget, Ensures a high standard of presentation drawings. Willingly works under pressure and meets agreed deadlines. Support Project Architects in the Concept Design & D/D phases. Effectively analyses design and technical requirements to compile structured reports with content appropriate to design or technical status of the project. Evaluates the contributions of the structural, mechanical and electrical and other disciplines to ensure their validity in the context of design and technical reports. Facilitates the development of the production team structure, size and composition and a project time schedule in collaboration with the Head of Department and (Senior) Project Manager. Collaborates with the Senior Project Manager throughout the duration of a project to establish realistic and achievable project goals with prudent time schedules. Attends all design meetings and other meetings with various parties (clients, suppliers, statutory authorities, other disciplines) to clarify and/or confirm design requirements, obtain Experience in very high end, beautifully detailed cultural, theatre, museums and hospitality projects or similar in the Middle East. Experience of managing a team consisting of an Architect/ Interior Designer / FF&E Designer / draftsperson.
