This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and implementing strategies to grow the business. The Role: Our client is seeking a Country Manager to lead their team in the New Zealand market. The successful candidate will have the chance to operate independently and play a significant role in the rapid growth of the New Zealand business. This position offers an excellent platform for a highly motivated sales and distribution professional to lead a high-performing team and drive business growth in a competitive market environment. Key Responsibilities: As Country Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving our client's success in New Zealand. You will be responsible for developing strategic plans that drive sales growth while also fostering a culture of high performance within your team. Your role will encompass all aspects of sales and marketing management, from lead generation to client retention strategies. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while also building strong relationships with key customers. Your ability to monitor performance metrics will be crucial in identifying areas for improvement. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations will also fall under your remit.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the teams, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Responsible for all sales and marketing activities, including lead generation, client acquisition, and retention strategies.
  • Manage sales team (direct sales representatives and agents).
  • Support Operations Manager in day-to-day operations and with Procurement function.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Monitor sales performance and distribution metrics, analysing trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all sales and distribution activities.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in key account management, sales and distribution, with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving targets.
  • Experience and knowledge of the New Zealand book market or gift market is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams towards excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
