Position Title: Associate, Clinical Trials Unit Department: Clinical Trails Unit Entity: Aga Khan University Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: Aga Khan University was established in 1983 as an international university with an objective to promote human welfare in general, and the welfare of the people in the countries in which it operates, by disseminating knowledge and providing instruction, training, research and service in the health sciences, education and such other branches of learning as the University may determine. Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is a Department dedicated to develop a center of excellence for high quality and high impact clinical trials both nationally & internationally. It promotes AKU’s vision by providing leadership, consultation and facilitation in different phases of clinical trials in compliance with the International Standards and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Associate in the Department of Clinical Trials Unit. Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director and Research Managers, you will be responsible for duties related to general office administration of the Unit and will provide support to CTU staff. Additionally, you will be responsible to: coordinate and manage the Director’s schedule in an effective and efficient manner schedule and manage meetings, conferences, workshops, and special events, taking minutes and circulating them after approval oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of all equipment and liaison with Biomedical department for timely PPM and calibration while maintaining record of PPM and calibration as needed order clinical and non-clinical supplies and maintain inventory of the supplies and equipment maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies manage and archive key essential documents on DMS/ One drive of all closed and ongoing studies and update the records on timely basis assist study coordinators to prepare monthly invoices for all studies managed through CTU and follow with sponsors and CROs for timely payment review monthly BVR and GVR and rectify the discrepancies and reconciliation with monthly ledgers liaise with management and staff regarding administrative matters. Requirements: You should have: at least bachelor’s degree, Masters in Business Administration is preferred 4 - 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Administration and finance side ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite programs sound knowledge of institutional data bases i.e. OPMS, PeopleSoft, etc experience in managing payments, budgets, and expenditure in-depth knowledge of administrative recordkeeping practices experience in handling confidential and sensitive information excellent written and verbal communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
