Pinehurst is a values-based and progressive co-educational private school for students between the ages of 5 and 18. We have a strong and vibrant community of 1100 students and 155 staff, including around 110 teachers, situated in green and pleasant grounds in Albany, on Auckland’s North Shore. The ICT Systems Administrator is a key role within the school, coordinating the use of data as part of our core student information system and any connections or integrations with other systems. The role also encompasses the development of views and reports of data to inform decision making. Reporting to the ICT Manager the Systems Administrator will be part of the ICT Technical Team and will assist in the development and maintenance of ICT infrastructure and provide end-user support for students, teachers, and administrators. Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the effective functioning of SIS (FACTS) and its integration with associated software programs and databases.
  • Oversees data entry, importing and exporting, system configuration, user management and access control.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data within the SIS by performing regular audits and data validation checks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the SIS, working closely with vendors and other integrators as needed.
  • Perform database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and database performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather requirements for new SIS features and functionality and coordinate the implementation of system enhancements.
  • Manage and administer cloud-based services such as Office 365, including user provisioning, and security configuration.
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM), ensuring devices are securely configured and compliant with organizational policies.
  • Ensure proper integration and synchronization between the SIS, LMS, Office 365, Intune, and SharePoint to streamline data management and access.
Qualification and Experience
  • IT degree or equivalent qualification and or relevant IT certifications.
  • 2+ years’ experience on a service desk providing support via phone, email, and face to face. Previous experience with school IT support a bonus.
  • Experience working and supporting Windows and Mac OS, iPad and iOS.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Windows 10 and 11.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Office365.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Exchange Server.
  • Good knowledge of wireless networking, firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
