Our Ørsted data ecosystem (ØDE) is a modern cloud-based data platform that facilitates the collection, processing, and consumption of data from all business units, making it available to analysts, data scientists, and machine learning models. Welcome to Ørsted Data Ecosystem You’ll be part of Data Platform Competency Centre where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure transparency and overview of data available on ØDE to enable reuse and sharing of data across business units while adhering to legal and company regulations for sharing of data. The team consists of professionals who are passionate about data management, data engineering, data science, and integration technologies. We’re committed to delivering on our digital strategy and creating a strong platform for analytics, model management, machine learning, all built on cloud technologies. As a team, we’re following the Agile principles, emphasising collaboration, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment to deliver our goals efficiently. You’ll play an important role in:

  • being responsible for leading the design and development of highly scalable, robust, and secure cloud-based applications and data analytics solutions on the AWS platform
  • providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members
  • evaluating business requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications and architecture
  • leading the adoption of best practices in cloud security, architecture, and AWS services
  • developing and maintaining data pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Data Pipeline, Kinesis, Kafka, Lambda, EKS and EMR
  • working closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, data engineers, security experts, and business analysts, to deliver integrated solutions.
To succeed in the role, you:
  • have substantial development and data ingestion experience using Python and SQL
  • have strong experience with AWS services, such as AWS services such as Glue, Data Pipeline, Kinesis, Lambda, and EMR
  • optimise data querying performance using AWS Redshift and ensure data integrity and security compliance
  • are familiar data cataloguing and metadata management
  • stay current with AWS services updates and emerging cloud technologies
  • can implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
