Job Summary: HKEX Treasury is responsible for prudently managing and investing the financial resources of the Group, and to maximize the net investment income for the Group. Treasury proactively manages daily cashflows of the Group, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet all cash flow and payment obligations and regulatory requirements. Through its investment activities, Treasury ensures that liquidity risk, credit risk, market risk and all other associated risk types are within the Group's approved risk appetite. Treasury also manages the external banking relationships of the Group and day-to-day Treasury settlement operations. In Group strategic initiatives and business projects, Treasury is actively involved to ensure cashflow and liquidity is optimized, and applicable funds are invested prudently. Job Duties: The Treasury Middle Office is responsible for ensuring all Treasury transactions are correctly booked, monitored, and accounted. The VP will support the Group Treasurer to perform the middle office function on the day-to-day operations of Treasury. The VP will lead, plan, direct and oversee the setting up of the Treasury Middle Office function, implementing industry best practices, leading the change and delivering process improvements. The VP will work closely with the Treasury Dealing Team and Treasury Settlement Team, to implement proper governance and control along each trade life cycle. Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Treasury Dealing Team and Treasury Settlement Team on managing all Treasury related transactions, such as money market, FX and fixed income products.
  • To implements and enhance governance and internal controls along the trade life cycle, ensuring proper segregation of duties between front, middle and back office functions in Treasury.
  • To implement the control framework and analytics for money markets, FX and fixed income.
  • To enhance and generate daily MI on dealing positioning and relevant risk exposures.
  • To carry out regular monitoring, checks and reporting, and P&L estimation on the External Portfolio.
  • To perform ad-hoc analysis on market risk and liquidity risk
  • To ensure proper maintenance and controls of the static data setup in the Treasury system.
  • To assists in projects on internal Treasury system setup and configurations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Treasury and financial markets middle office and market risk Knowledge and experience in FX, Rates and Fixed Income products.
  • University degree holder in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or related subjects.
  • Experience and track record in middle office, market risk, product control and valuation control functions.
  • Knowledge of Treasury systems - experience with FIS Quantum system will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with settlement systems and common industry infrastructure such as - SWIFT, RTGS, CMT, CMU, CFETS.
  • Excellent managerial, analytical, strategic thinking, networking, interpersonal and communication skills, strong risk awareness, pro-active, attentive to details, a good team player, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good stakeholder management skills, ability to work with a wide circle of stakeholders across different functions and divisions, driving for collective consensus and results.
  • Have a wide professional network with counterparty banks in Hong Kong and China.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
