About The Job

The Senior Cost Control Engineer is responsible for the management and reporting of all costs and revenues of the project he/she has been allocated.

Main Accountabilities

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible to establish the first project budget/forecast based on handover bid from Proposal/Estimating Department
  2. Responsible for the updates of changes to the forecast based on inputs from project management and other project team members as applicable
  3. Responsible for monthly Project Cost Report and Project Management Report
  4. Preparation of monthly invoices to Client and follow up works (including reimbursable items)
  5. Evaluate the economic impact of changes/variations in scope of work
  6. Perform economical analysis, forecasts, deviations reports, etc.
  7. Update cash forecast
  8. Support identification of Threats and Opportunities and mitigation plan
  9. Increase other Departments’ awareness of the Cost Control function
  10. Review of commitments
  11. Assist procurement on invoices from Subcontractors/Suppliers

Key tasks:

  • The cost controller needs to develop reporting requirements
  • Manpower forecasting
  • Construction/Procurement forecasting
  • Budget transfer and variation order register
  • Budget variance formalization
  • Cost sensitivities analysis
  • Cash Flow Reporting requirements

About You

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent 7 to 10 years of experience in a related field Professional English Knowledge of cost control tools and methodologies Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Must work collaboratively with all members of the PMT and other Departments within the Company Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently Someone who is adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required Ability to deal effectively with deadlines
