Your Role: Security Systems Service Engineer (N.B. This is not an IT Security Role) As a Security Systems Service Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting security systems for a diverse range of clients, including public sector, commercial, and industrial enterprises. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks: Regular Maintenance and Testing: Ensure the seamless operation of security equipment, including sensors, cameras, access control panels, and related devices. Thorough Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise with security systems, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills. Upgrading and Repairs: Stay abreast of the latest security technology advancements and upgrade or repair existing systems to enhance their functionality. Exceptional Customer Support: Provide technical guidance and support to clients when they encounter issues with their security systems. System Programming Expertise: Configure and program security systems to meet specific user requirements, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Accurate Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of installations, maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions to ensure compliance with industry standards. User Training Prowess: Conduct training sessions for clients and end-users, familiarizing them with the operation and functionality of their security systems. Compliance Champion: Ensure all security installations and maintenance work adhere to relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and local codes. Quality Assurance Sentinel: Maintain the highest quality standards in all work performed and ensure clients are consistently satisfied with the provided service. Continuous Learning Advocate: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in security technology, industry best practices, and relevant certifications to enhance your expertise. Essential Criteria: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Intruder, CCTV, and Access Control Systems. Extensive knowledge gained with an NSI or SSAIB company. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical fitness and manual handling capabilities. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Full UK Driving Licence Must currently have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom. Desirable Criteria: Fire Alarm Systems knowledge. Electrical qualification. FIA certifications.
