Business Risk Consultant with International Private Bank under Business Unit. Reporting to both business team and the risk team Job Duties:

  • Manage and oversee the daily workflow of the pricing approval process for the firm's operations in Asia.
  • Aid the pricing team in collaborating with internal clients to devise commercially focused solutions for pricing requests.
  • Generate regular updates on client financial portfolios to evaluate performance, identify areas of concern or potential opportunities.
  • Assess current client fee arrangements to identify possibilities for improving financial performance in the present and future.
  • Provide tactical pricing support for business tenders and other opportunities.
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to facilitate informed decision-making, and effectively communicate and present results to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactively analyze data to gain insights into anticipated costs of specific matter types.
  • Assist in key operational improvement projects.
  • Offer status updates on managed matters, clients, or practices, including profitability and KPI forecasting.
  • Support the pricing team in developing financial models tailored to specific pricing scenarios or for automated use within the business.
  • Aid pricing managers in planning and executing regular pricing processes, such as annual rate reviews and communication of rate increases, in the Asia region.
  • Assist the team in developing metrics and reporting tools to analyze and clearly illustrate trends in matter performance, acting as a trusted advisor to Partners, fee earners, and CRM personnel during pricing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain pricing databases that facilitate effective pricing decision-making.
Job Requirement
  • Appropriate undergraduate/post graduate degree qualification
  • Understanding of business economics
  • Extremely numerate, with the proven ability to convert complex/raw data into concise and actionable intelligence
  • Excellent Excel skills and the ability to work confidently within other Microsoft office 365 products (PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint)
  • Ability to build relationships and influence
  • Ideally, experience of working in a financial role in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Experience of using a Financial Practice Management System (e.g. Elite or Aderant Expert) or Power BI would be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite
