We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our friendly team in Palmerston North. This means being part of a team that shares ideas across geographies and time-zones, to push boundaries and go beyond conventional approaches. Every day will be different and provide different challenges and variety, overall, you can expect to be involved with:
- Building client relationships locally and playing a key role in the central region structural engineering discipline.
- Apply principles and professional knowledge and judgement to plan and implement projects of reasonable complexity.
- Provide technical design advice for structures and multi-disciplinary projects of reasonable complexity.
- Gain experience in work planning and financial management for local, national, and international projects
- Engage in business operations and understand the impact of works practices on the financial outcome of projects
- Build and foster internal and external relationships that lead to repeat work
- Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking, and consulting skills.
- Be passionate about learning and seek feedback to ensure professional and technical career development
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Structural Engineer in New Zealand.
- Structural or Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- A demonstrated ability to lead projects and packages of work from concept to completion.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and with clients.
