Your role We are looking for Firmware Engineer who is experienced and willing to join our Radar development team at Saab Ltd, Abu Dhabi Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain firmware solutions for embedded systems, with a focus on Petalinux-based platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Implement and optimize device drivers, bootloaders, and board support packages (BSPs) using Petalinux tools.
- Troubleshoot and debug firmware issues throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices in firmware development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in embedded systems and Petalinux technology.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers as needed.
- Mentoring other Firmware engineers
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in firmware development, with a focus on embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Petalinux development and configuration.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with Linux kernel development, device drivers, and BSP integration.
- Familiarity with hardware description languages (HDL) such as Verilog or VHDL is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and standards.
