Explore rewarding career opportunities at Lady Andal School - where passion meets profession!Who are we looking for:We are currently seeking a passionate educator to join our team as a dedicated MYP Language and Literature Teacher, working with children in the Middle Years Programme, as part of our continued growth and development efforts. Hiring for the Academic Year 2024, the ideal candidate must be organized, and capable of fostering innovative and engaging learning experiences within available resources. Creating a holistic, inquiry-based environment, the candidate will instil thoughtful and ethical behaviour, ensuring the IB Learner profile values guide the heart of learning in our school.Key Responsibilities:Develop a comprehensive Language and Literature curriculum aligned with the IB MYP framework.Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate a range of literary genres and language skills.Design diverse approaches for units of Inquiry that promote Attributes to LearningDesign and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with IB MYP assessment criteriaConduct formative and summative assessments according to Subject guidelinesCollaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and fair assessment approach across the MYP.Ensure alignment of all school policies and practices with the IB Standards and Practices.Collaborate with the IB Coordinator to plan and bring out best classroom practices.Promote a culture of Inclusion and Diversity amongst all stakeholders of the communityEngage in continuous professional development to stay informed about the current trends in educationCollaborate and network with educators to share insights and enhance teaching practices.Be an active advocate for Lady Andal School's vision and core aims Foster a positive classroom culture that values inquiry, critical thinking and intercultural understandingBe an active part of all events conducted by and in the schoolSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor's/Master's degree in the relevant field. A bachelor's degree in Education will be an added benefit.Proven experience as a high school Language and Literature teacherDemonstrated expertise in curriculum planning, assessment and ATL integrationCommitment to promoting international-mindedness and the IB learner profileEffective communication and collaboration skillsExperience in an IB school would be an added benefit PRB
