We achieve this through teamwork, being clever together.Learn more about Goliath at www.goliathgames.com/corporate/.About the Role:Our dedicated logistics and customer services teams, based in the Netherlands, are very important to achieve success, and responsible for delivering our toys and games to retailers in Europe.In this role, you'll manage these teams and explore the full potential of our new and very modern third-party logistics warehouse. With an inventory spanning tens of thousands of pallets, and a wide network of partners, your experience will be used in ensuring smooth and efficient shipments throughout Europe.Responsibilities Overview:The European Operations Director will have two primary areas of responsibility: Logistics Operations & Customer Service Management.Logistics Operations:Oversee the in-house logistics team, ensuring streamlined operationsMaintain productive relationships with external Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers and carriersImplement cost-effective strategies in operational processesEnhance operational management systems, processes, and best practices in logisticsConduct quality controls and manage logistics KPIsSupervise 3PL operations for efficient order processing and transportation planningHandle inbound and outbound shipping, warehouse, and inventory managementOversee international import/export and customs complianceManage relationships and negotiate with couriers, 3PL, manufacturers, and co-packersCustomer Service Management:Lead the customer service team to ensure high-quality service and efficiencyDevelop strategies to improve customer service performance and satisfactionCoordinate with the sales and finance teams for effective management of credit-related issuesOversee sales order management, returns, and charge-backsFacilitate direct communication with customersMonitor and achieve customer service KPIsGeneral Responsibilities:Formulate strategic and operational objectivesAnalyze financial data to improve profitabilityManage budgets and forecastsRecruit, train, and supervise staff in both logistics and customer service departmentsMentor team members, ensuring their professional developmentRequirementsProven experience in logistics and customer service managementDemonstrated ability to motivate and manage teamsStrong organizational skillsHands-on mentalityEducation at HBO+ level, with a background in logisticsBenefitsA dynamic role in a leading international toy and game companyOpportunity to lead and develop a diverse international teamCompetitive compensation and benefitsOpportunities for professional growth and development
