Senior Site Project Engineer, West Africa

Lycopodium Canada is currently recruiting for an experienced FIFO Senior Project Engineer to enable an EPCM gold project to be delivered to high standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, your roster will be an 8-week on / 2 weeks off flying economy class flights from anywhere globally to our Senegal site.

Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager to ensure the quality of output of the allocated project team, and that it is aligned with the needs of project/study, the company objectives, the requirements of the client, and meets regulatory requirements.

Deliver support and technical competence, as part of the project team, in the delivery of the projects and studies to meet the requirements of the Clients and their projects in accordance with the contract.

Follow the various (project-specific and company) procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols required to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.

Requirements:

Qualifications: A degree and/or Post-Graduate qualification in Engineering, preference for Mechanical will be given.

Experience: 8+ years post-graduate experience in the minerals processing sector with experience operating in remote sites.

Skills: Proven experience in EPC and EPCM environments. Highly developed people and relationship skills with demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplined professional team environment communicating and motivating effectively at all levels of the organization.

Knowledge: Demonstrate understanding and awareness of project implementation, constructability, OH&S, environmental, community, and industrial relations issues. Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
