JOB REQUISITESRole SummaryWSP India is currently seeking a CAD Technician - Electrical for Australia Mining Projects (Materials Handling Infrastructure). They shall be responsible for creating and editing drawings / Models in compliance with WSP CAD and Client Standards utilizing MicroStation Connect software. The position is for BANGLORE & NOIDA location. A Team player and willing to work collaboratively with a motivated and highly successful team in AustraliaResponsibilitiesThis role is for a Senior Electrical Designer on mining projects. Knowledge and experience of MicroStation 2D, 3D and Navisworks. Basic electrical principals Strong English communication skills, both written and oral Familiarity with electrical equipment and terminology Familiar with electrical design documents like: Area classification Single line diagrams Distribution panel layout Cable and conduit schedule Electrical schematics Lighting design Control panel c/w I/O schematics. Junction box layouts Process and building electrical and control layout. Electrical Heat trace design Electrical Bill of Materials Familiarity with Australian Electrical Code Must complete a high-quality self-check of own work with efficiency. Shall follow internal QC processes. Perform review of engineering drawings, as per markups made by the Checkers. Verify to ensure drawings modifications are accurately and correctly conducted. Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule and budget requirements. Communicate with internal peers and project team and required to answer questions regarding deliverables. Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required. Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement. Be able to perform Material Take-Offs with Bentley MicroStation and excel. Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process. Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained. Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Lead Designer. Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies. Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in Drafting skills. Support the company's approach to sustainability. Be able to communicate in a multi-disciplinary project team. Be willing to learn and be polyvalent. Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline. Key CompetenciesMandatory Skills We anticipate you will have an interest in the following areas: To contribute to growing Mining Infrastructure Teams with CAD related works using Bentley MicroStation. You will also be computer literate with a reasonable proficiency in MS office suite and Navisworks. Having a thirst for knowledge, cultural awareness, an open mind, and good English communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team. Coordinating his/her work with other members of the Team. Work competently with minimal supervision or on an individual basis. The candidate must have a valid passport. Key competencies expected are: Collaboration & Teamwork Technical Capability & Delivery Adaptability & Learning Desired Skills Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 8-12 year of experience in a consulting firm in mineral processing using Bentley MicroStation and ProjectWise. Preference will be given to candidates with shop detailing experience of Chutes, Bins, Hoppers, and conveyor components. E.g. trusses Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.Qualifications8-12 years of experience in Electrical 2D/3D drafting and modeling. Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. Strong attention to the detail. Familiar with working in a LEAN environment. Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English Experience with Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360 or Bentley Open Plant and ProjectWise PRB
