Senior Product Manager, Accounting

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Senior Product Manager to join our growing team and play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of Chargebee RevRec, a leading revenue accounting solution for subscription businesses. As a key member of the Product Management team, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of Chargebee RevRec. Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Actively engage with the finance team at prospects and customers to collect valuable feedback and understand their pain points in revenue recognition, accounts receivable (A/R), sales tax, and payment areas. This includes conducting interviews, surveys, and gathering insights through user interactions to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences. Function Testing: Conduct comprehensive function testing to ensure that Chargebee RevRec is free of bugs and performs optimally. Identify and document any issues, providing detailed feedback to the development team for timely resolution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a successful product development and launch process. Work effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues that may arise during the development process. Financial Accounting Expertise: Leverage your deep financial accounting knowledge to understand the unique needs and challenges of our target audience. Collaborate with the product development team to tailor features and solutions that meet the financial accounting requirements of our clients. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Guide and oversee the product through the SDLC, from concept to release. Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely and successful product development, ensuring that the product is developed according to the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget. Product Education: Develop and create educational materials, such as documentation, webinars, and tutorials, to help customers make the most of Chargebee RevRec. Assist the marketing team in developing product messaging and content that resonates with our target audience. Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive products. Identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation based on market research. Analyze competitor products and services to identify opportunities for Chargebee RevRec to gain a competitive edge. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Business, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a similar discipline. 5+ years of experience in product management, with a demonstrated track record of success in developing and launching successful products. Previous experience in financial accounting is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. An understanding of the SDLC and familiarity with tools such as Excel, Jira, SQL, and database management. Knowledge of UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) design principles. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. PRB
