Responsibilities: Review the operations ofprocess catalysts by monitoring key performance indicators,including but not limited to product yields, deactivation rates,remaining lifecycle, etc. Issue quarterly performance andbenchmarking reports highlighting optimization achievements,performance gaps, and recommendations. Provide support to processtechnology engineers in resolving any catalyst and absorbentsperformance gaps and assist in implementing optimizationinitiatives. Conduct yearly benchmarking workshops withparticipating Global Manufacturing facilities to share year-roundperformances, best practices, agree on catalyst optimization andprofitability targets, and recognize facility best performers.Maintain an inventory of Global Manufacturing catalysts andabsorbents, detailing the technology providers, quantity, nextloading forecasts, etc. Support and facilitate potential catalystinventory exchange/synergy among Global Manufacturing facilities,including developing and supporting needed contractual agreements.Represent the admin area in refining catalyst selection andevaluation, advocating for the needs of the business line accordingto established company procedures. Coordinate with other internalstakeholders on the requirements for conducting regular catalystpilot testing activities. Collaborate with Global Manufacturingrefineries in the negotiation and acceptance of catalysts andadsorbents vendor performance guarantees. Assist with performancetest runs to validate vendor's Proforma PerformanceGuarantees. Manage and facilitate spent catalyst handling andprecious metals reclamation (e.g., platinum and rhenium-based)activities in Global Manufacturing, including the development andmaintenance of procedures. Act as the admin area focal point inproviding coordination and process engineering support on corporatecatalyst strategies and related transactions. Provide field supportfor catalyst-related activities such as loading and unloading,regeneration and rejuvenation, pre-sulfiding and activation,process optimization, and troubleshooting, as needed, incollaboration with facility process engineers and otherstakeholders. Support the pilot testing or field demonstration ofcommercial catalysts and in-house developed catalysts in ThisCompany facilities in collaboration with R&D and othercorporate technical entities. Lead contract cost optimizationinitiatives related to fresh catalyst procurement, spent catalysthandling, re-use, and metal reclamation.Requirements: This rolerequired candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, SaudiArabia. Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering,Process Engineering, or a related specialization. An advanceddegree with a specialization in catalysis is preferred. Possess aminimum of 10 years of experience in refining and petrochemicalcatalyst and absorbents application, with practical experience insupporting or operating catalytic processes (e.g., hydroprocessing,reforming, catalytic cracking, etc.), including at least 5 years ofexperience in oil refinery or petrochemical plants. Exposure todifferent technology licensors is a plus. Have experience usingprocess engineering simulation programs
