Job Description
Estimator duties include:- Prepare tender/quotations to customers with client schedules, submit tender documents.
- Collate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- The ability to read construction drawings would be advantageous and sound Microsoft skills in particular Excel.
- Compile detailed requirements for tender: Including, labour rates, project management, supervision, plant and equipment, preliminary and general, margin, preparing tags and clarifications.
- Apply industry standards and ensuring they are complied with.
- Visit Job site when needed.
Qualifications
Ideally you have experience gained in Quantity Surveying or Estimating gained within the construction sector. Prior experience in the Fire protection industry is not essential but a sound understanding of current codes, regulations and compliance would be advantageous, other key skills you will ideally have include;- Excellent communications and relationship building experience
- Customer and quality focused
- You're a team player, detail oriented and have excellent communications.
